The bill would amend the Government Code relating to deadlines for court reporters to file transcripts, which has no significant fiscal impact to the state. The bill would provide that a court reporter "may not" be required to file a transcript before the 60th day after the date an appeal is filed. The bills provisions would not apply to transcripts required for accelerated or interlocutory appeals. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
