The bill would amend the Government Code to prohibit the Department of Public Safety from recognizing a concealed handgun license issued by another state if the licensee has established a principal residence in this state. The Department of Public Safety anticipates no fiscal impact from the bill. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011. Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
