The bill would amend the Labor Code relating to the closed formulary for workers' compensation pharmaceutical benefits. Based on the analysis provided by the University of Texas System Administration and the State Office of Risk Management, implementation of the bill would have a cost, but the cost is anticipated to be absorbed within existing agency resources. Based on the analysis provided by the Texas A&M University System, the Texas Department of Insurance, and the Texas Department of Transportation, it is assumed that all duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing agency resources.
