                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 10, 2011      TO: Honorable Ryan Guillen, Chair, House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB535 by Phillips ( Relating to allowing a deer breeder to transfer and sell for processing as venison certain breeder deer.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend portions of the Parks and Wildlife Code to allow a holder of a valid deer breeder permit to process a breeder deer as venison, or sell a live breeder deer for processing if the deer is not needed for propagation under conditions as described. No fiscal implication to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department or the state is anticipated from bill amendments.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.
