                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 29, 2011      TO: Honorable Jerry Madden, Chair, House Committee on Corrections      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB599 by Jackson, Jim (Relating to the release of certain criminal history record information subject to an order of nondisclosure.), As Introduced    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would repeal Sections 411.081 (i) and 411.081 (j) of the Government Code and allow agencies to consider criminal history record information for licensing purposes but would prevent them from obtaining the information on deferred adjudications for which an order of non-disclosure is entered.  The bill would take effect on September 1, 2011.  The Texas State Securities Board, Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending, Texas Department of Banking, and Texas Credit Union Department anticipate no significant fiscal implications from the bill.   Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
