                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            March 18, 2011      TO: Honorable Ryan Guillen, Chair, House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB716 by Miller, Sid ( Relating to the taking of certain feral hogs and coyotes using a helicopter.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend portions of the Parks and Wildlife Code to prohibit the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission (through proclamation or regulation) from prohibiting a landowner or a landowners agent from using a helicopter to take depredating feral hogs or coyotes. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department reports the bill would not result in a fiscal implication to the department; accordingly no fiscal implication to the state is anticipated. The bill would take effect September 1, 2011.  Local Government Impact No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
