                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            April 12, 2011      TO: Honorable Ryan Guillen, Chair, House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB757 by Eiland (Relating to the sale and consumption in this state of raw oysters harvested from Texas waters.), As Introduced    No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Parks and Wildlife Code to provide that federal regulations relating to the interstate transport of oysters that have not been post-harvest treated oysters do not apply to oysters harvested, sold and consumed within Texas. The bill would take immediate effect if it receives two-thirds the vote of members in both houses.  Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2011.
