                    LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD    Austin, Texas      FISCAL NOTE, 82ND LEGISLATIVE REGULAR SESSION            May 13, 2011      TO: Honorable John Carona, Chair, Senate Committee on Business & Commerce      FROM: John S O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board     IN RE:HB8 by Darby (Relating to prohibiting certain private transfer fees and the preservation of private real property rights; providing penalties.), Committee Report 2nd House, Substituted    No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.  The bill would amend the Property Code relating to prohibiting certain private transfer fees and the preservation of private real property rights; providing penalties.   Based on the analysis of the General Land Office and Veterans' Land Board, the Office of the Attorney General and the Texas Real Estate Commission, it is assumed that duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources. Local Government Impact No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
