The bill would allow precinct conventions to be held in the regular county election precinct on a date determined by the county executive committee that occurs not later than the fifth day after the date of the general primary election. It is anticipated that any costs associated with implementation of the legislation could be absorbed within existing resources. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2011.
