       AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT   C.S.H.B. 92 amends current law relating to the regulation of slaughterers by certain counties.   RULEMAKING AUTHORITY   This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.   SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS   SECTION 1. Amends Section 148.001, Agriculture Code, to redefine "slaughterer."   SECTION 2. Amends Section 234.032, Local Government Code, as follows:   Sec. 234.032. APPLICABILITY. Provides that this subchapter applies only in the unincorporated area of a county if the county:   (1) contains two or more municipalities with a population of 250,000 or more;   (2) is a county adjacent to a county described by Subdivision (1); or   (3) is a county adjacent to a county described by Subdivision (2) and has a population of not more than 50,000 and contains a municipality with a population of at least 20,000, or contains, wholly or partly, two or more municipalities with a population of 250,000 or more.   SECTION 3. Effective date: September 1, 2011.

C.S.H.B. 92 amends current law relating to the regulation of slaughterers by certain counties.

SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS

 

SECTION 1. Amends Section 148.001, Agriculture Code, to redefine "slaughterer."

 

SECTION 2. Amends Section 234.032, Local Government Code, as follows:

 

Sec. 234.032. APPLICABILITY. Provides that this subchapter applies only in the unincorporated area of a county if the county:

 

(1) contains two or more municipalities with a population of 250,000 or more;

 

(2) is a county adjacent to a county described by Subdivision (1); or

 

(3) is a county adjacent to a county described by Subdivision (2) and has a population of not more than 50,000 and contains a municipality with a population of at least 20,000, or contains, wholly or partly, two or more municipalities with a population of 250,000 or more.

 

SECTION 3. Effective date: September 1, 2011.
