H.R. No. 1001 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Countless lives were touched by the kindness and generosity of Gean Bartoli of Waco, who passed away on March 2, 2011, at the age of 86; and WHEREAS, Born on October 3, 1924, in Malden, Missouri, the former Gean Ackelson was the daughter of Lee and Irene Copeland Ackelson; she married the love of her life, Henry P. Bartoli, in a ceremony held on August 28, 1943, in San Antonio, and the couple became the proud parents of two children, Terry and Nancy; they also had the pleasure of welcoming six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren into their family; and WHEREAS, Mrs. Bartoli and her husband spent untold memorable hours happily gliding across dance floors to the admiring glances of other couples; in addition to devoting her time to caring for her own family, this gracious woman extended her maternal concern to the well-being of others; and WHEREAS, Cherished for her warmth and sweet nature, Gean Bartoli made an indelible impression on all those fortunate enough to know her, and she will forever hold a treasured place in their hearts; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Gean Bartoli and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her husband of 67 years, Henry Bartoli; to her children and their spouses, Terry and Susan Bartoli and Nancy and Tom Bratcher; to her grandchildren, Renee Mitchell and her husband, Joel, Pete Bartoli, Andrea Swanson, Tommy Swanson, Brande Bratcher, and Wen Bratcher; to her great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Gean Bartoli.
