R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Charles and Sharon Gass of O'Donnell
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 25, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Charles Gass and the former Sharon Brewer were
united in matrimony in Lamesa in 1961; through the years, they have
nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with
the addition of their children and their spouses, Benny and Cindra
Gass, Don and Penny Forbes, and Corey and Sarah Gass, as well as
their 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Charles and Sharon Gass on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gass as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
