 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the untimely loss of
 Rick Carlton Hensley of Lubbock, who passed away on March 9, 2011,
 at the age of 55; and
 WHEREAS, Rick Hensley was born in Lubbock on September 17,
 1955, to Homer and Betty Hensley; in 1983, he cofounded Automax of
 Lubbock with his brother, Homer L. Hensley III, and over the years,
 the car dealership has grown to include several locations in the
 Lubbock area; and
 WHEREAS, A man of strong religious faith, Mr. Hensley played
 a valued role in the life of Trinity Church for more than 25 years,
 volunteering countless hours with its ministries; and
 WHEREAS, Rick Hensley shared a rewarding marriage with his
 wife, Melinda, and he took great pride in his three children, Chris,
 Jennifer, and Kristen, and in his grandson, James; always a
 supportive and encouraging father, he devoted countless hours while
 his children were growing up to coaching in their youth sports
 leagues; he enjoyed spending time with his family and the family
 dogs, and his avocations included reading, playing the guitar, and
 traveling; and
 WHEREAS, While Rick Hensley's journey on this earth ended far
 too soon, he achieved a life that was rich in family, friends, and
 accomplishments, and he will forever be remembered with great
 tenderness and affection; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Rick Carlton Hensley
 and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
 wife, Melinda Hensley; to his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and
 Rhealan Hensley; to his daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and
 Daniel Short and Kristen and Alan Riches; to his grandson, James
 Riches; to his sisters, Linda Little and Lisa Land; to his brother,
 Homer L. Hensley III; and to his other relatives and friends; and,
 be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rick
 Carlton Hensley.
