R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, Jack and Linda Cloude of Lubbock
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 11, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Jack Cloude and the former Linda Herring were united
in matrimony in 1961 at the home of the groom's parents in Spur;
through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that
has been made even richer with the addition of their children, Cindy
Cloude and Susan Zellars and her husband, Fred, as well as a
grandchild and two great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
five decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jack and Linda Cloude on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Cloude as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
