R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Jacob and Amelia Way of
Lubbock celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on March
9, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Jacob E. Way and the former Amelia Evans were joined
in matrimony in 1946 at a ceremony held in Toronto; through the
years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes
two children, Douglas Way and the Reverend J. Edson Way III and his
wife, Jenny, as well as five grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Way have enjoyed six and a half decades
of abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting
commitment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jacob and Amelia Way on their 65th
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Way as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
