R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Oakmont Healthcare and Rehab Center of Katy has
earned distinction for the high-quality care it offers patients;
and
WHEREAS, Oakmont of Katy was among 32 facilities in Texas
recognized in 2009 for outstanding commitment to continuous quality
improvement (CQI) with the Step I National Quality Award from the
American Health Care Association and the National Center for
Assisted Living; the center was subsequently named the Texas CQI
Home of the Year in 2010 by its corporate owner, Diversicare
Management Services of Tennessee, which has also presented the
center with an Innovation Award; and
WHEREAS, Additionally, Nursing Home Compare, a tool on
Medicare.gov, has bestowed a five-star overall rating, its highest
ranking, on Oakmont of Katy, and the Department of Aging and
Disability Services has given Oakmont a 75 out of 100, a score well
above the statewide average for facilities of its kind; and
WHEREAS, Dedicated to helping patients achieve their highest
level of independence, Oakmont Healthcare and Rehab Center of Katy
enhances patient confidence through compassionate care and
excellent service, and the facility serves as a valuable resource
to area families; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Oakmont Healthcare and Rehab
Center of Katy on the high ratings it has received and extend to its
staff sincere best wishes for continued success in their important
work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the center as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
