R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
decades, Jerry and Judy Pugh of Canton celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on March 23, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Pugh exchanged the vows of matrimony on
that memorable day in 1961, and over the course of their marriage,
they have found in each other a devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family
that includes three children, Alice Clements, Denise Daugherty, and
Jeri Ann Weatherford, as well as four grandchildren, J. D., Jamie,
Cody, and Kolemon, with whom they treasure sharing the many special
occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past half-century, Jerry and
Judy Pugh can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know
that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many
more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Jerry and Judy Pugh on their golden
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Pugh as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
