 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever cherish their
 memories of Raymond Oren Whisenant, Sr., of Dripping Springs, who
 passed away on March 20, 2011, at the age of 81; and
 WHEREAS, The son of K. C. and Lillie Whisenant, Raymond
 Whisenant was raised on a ranch with his sister, Lyndia; he enjoyed
 more than 50 years of fulfilling partnership with his wife, Betty
 Joy Bradshaw Whisenant, before her passing, and he took great pride
 in his daughter, Audel, and his son, Ray, with whom he operated a
 successful water well drilling business; Mr. Whisenant was well
 known for his gift for finding underground sources of water, or
 "water witching," and his services remained in high demand even
 after his retirement; and
 WHEREAS, He also worked as a reserve deputy sheriff in Hays
 County, and in his free time, he enjoyed vacationing at his mountain
 cabin in Colorado; and
 WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in the love and
 friendship of Raymond Whisenant will always remember him with great
 admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Raymond Oren
 Whisenant, Sr., and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his
 family: to his children, Ray Whisenant, Jr., and his wife, Connie,
 and Audel Whisenant Cayce; to his grandchildren, Brandt Whisenant
 and his wife, Shana, Shane Whisenant and his wife, Janey, and
 Cassell Puryear Durst and her husband, Todd; to his
 great-grandchildren, Chase and Jake Whisenant and Ashton Durst; and
 to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Raymond
 Whisenant.
