H.R. No. 1367
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
by a great and enduring love, James and Ruby Bagley of Midland
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 23, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bagley were united in matrimony in
Sweetwater in 1960; through the years, they have nurtured a
fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer with the
addition of two children and their spouses, Jimmy and Mariann
Bagley and Sherry and Mike Kerby, as well as five grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Bagley retired following a notable career with
Oryx Oil Co.; Mrs. Bagley is a retired nurse and homemaker; and
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the
world during the past half-century, this devoted husband and wife
have remained constant in their commitment to one another, and the
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Ruby Bagley on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bagley as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
