No. 1413 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, February 23, 2011, marked the 50th wedding anniversary of Willie and Mary Youngblood, providing a fitting opportunity to reflect on their memorable journey together as husband and wife; and WHEREAS, Willie Youngblood and the former Mary Ruth Campbell were joined in matrimony in 1961 at a ceremony held in Waco; through the years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes two sons, Jeffrey Youngblood and Jon Youngblood and his wife, Brenda, and four grandchildren, Brandon, Max, Paige, and Clay Youngblood; and WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, the Youngbloods are both retired; Mr. Youngblood worked for Greyhound Bus Lines and M&M Mars, and Mrs. Youngblood was employed by Central Texas Veteran's Medical Center as an RN; she serves on the Bellmead City Council and is a member of the Henry Downs Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and the Peter Folger Chapter of the National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century; and WHEREAS, The 50 years of marriage that Mr. and Mrs. Youngblood have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love and commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby congratulate Willie and Mary Youngblood on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Youngblood as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
