 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, John Callison received the Teacher of the Year award
 from the Mineola Chamber of Commerce at a banquet held on February
 15, 2011; and
 WHEREAS, An auto mechanics instructor at Mineola High School,
 Mr. Callison has taught in the district for nearly 23 years and has
 also been an agricultural science student teacher; he established
 slot car racing contests at his school, with the proceeds going
 toward scholarships for auto mechanics students; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Callison studied at Tyler Junior College and
 East Texas State University and earned a master's degree from
 Stephen F. Austin State University in 2007; highly respected by his
 peers, he paid tribute in his acceptance speech to all teachers who
 strive to make a difference in the lives of their students; and
 WHEREAS, The strength of our communities depends on
 individuals like John Callison, whose tireless work in behalf of
 area youth has contributed immeasurably to the quality of life in
 Mineola; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate John Callison on his receipt of the
 2010 Teacher of the Year award from the Mineola Chamber of Commerce
 and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be
 it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Callison as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
