R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Deputy Sam Threadgill was deservedly named the 2010
Officer of the Year by the Wood County Sheriff's Department; and
WHEREAS, Recognized for his exceptional contributions to
area citizens, Deputy Threadgill was honored at an awards banquet
held at the Carroll Green Civic Center on December 11, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Texans everywhere are indebted to the courageous men
and women in the field of law enforcement who, by their selfless
dedication to the public welfare, have enabled us to enjoy the
benefits of a peaceful and orderly society; and
WHEREAS, Deputy Threadgill has proven himself to be an
exemplary member of his profession, and he may indeed reflect with
pride on the role he plays in making the Wood County Sheriff's
Department a success; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Deputy Sam Threadgill on being
named the 2010 Officer of the Year for Wood County and extend to him
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Deputy Threadgill as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
