R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Ronnie London retired from his position as executive
director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls on April 8,
2011, drawing to a close a notable 47-year tenure with the
organization; and
WHEREAS, A native of Wichita Falls, Mr. London became a
member of the local club when he was six, and his first paying job
was working in the locker room of the central branch; and
WHEREAS, Mr. London has long been committed to the mission of
the Boys & Girls Clubs, recognizing the importance of making a
difference in the lives of each participant, and he has also helped
to raise money for other youth organizations that he supports; he
looks forward to going fishing and to traveling the country to see
his 17 grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Ronnie London has made immeasurable contributions
to his community, and he may indeed reflect with great pride on his
noteworthy accomplishments as he embarks on the next exciting
chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Ronnie London on his retirement as
executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wichita Falls and
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. London as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
