R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Edna Posada is being honored as a Shining Star of
Hidalgo County on April 26, 2011; and
WHEREAS, The Shining Star Awards are presented by the Zonta
Club of West Hidalgo County, an organization working to advance the
status of women through service and advocacy; and
WHEREAS, Recognized for her professional contributions to
the community, Ms. Posada is the president and owner of Aldani,
Inc.; since forming the company in 1989, she has opened three Merle
Norman Cosmetic Studios and three Spa La Posada locations; and
WHEREAS, In addition to providing employment to nearly two
dozen women, Ms. Posada is active in a number of organizations that
encourage and assist women in business; she has shared her
knowledge as a mentor and earned many awards for her efforts; and
WHEREAS, A dedicated and respected entrepreneur, Edna Posada
is committed to supporting the professional women of South Texas,
and her selection for this honor brings well-deserved recognition
to her record of achievement; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Edna Posada on being named a
Shining Star of Hidalgo County by the Zonta Club and extend to her
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Posada as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
