H.R. No. 1547
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
decades, Kenneth and Geneva Bolen of Waco celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on March 17, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Bolen met on Austin Avenue in Waco, and
they exchanged the vows of matrimony in Coryell City on that
memorable day in 1961; over the course of their marriage, they have
found in each other a devoted life partner; and
WHEREAS, The Bolens count among their blessings a fine family
that includes three children and their spouses, Kimberly and Mark
Goolsby, Kendra and Jerry Tucker, and Randal and Dotti Bolen, as
well as six grandchildren, Brooke, Megan, Julia, Joshua, Jacob, and
Kennedy, with whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions
of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Kenneth and
Geneva Bolen can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Kenneth and Geneva Bolen on their
50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Bolen as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
