 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of William
 Sanders Barnhill, Jr., of Dallas, who passed away on April 11, 2011,
 at the age of 80; and
 WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Bill Barnhill was
 born on May 7, 1930, the only son of Audrene and William Barnhill;
 he grew up in Oak Cliff and graduated from Sunset High School before
 serving his country in the United States Navy for two years; and
 WHEREAS, After earning a degree from Southern Methodist
 University, Mr. Barnhill went on to enjoy a notable career spanning
 three and a half decades with the U.S. Department of Education as a
 health, education, and finance officer; and
 WHEREAS, He was joined in marriage with the former Kristina
 Mendez, and the couple enjoyed a rewarding relationship; Mr.
 Barnhill was a devout Catholic and a lifelong supporter of St.
 Cecilia's Church and St. Monica's Parish; and
 WHEREAS, Bill Barnhill lived a rich and purposeful life
 centered around his family and his faith, and he will long be
 remembered with deep affection by all who had the good fortune to
 know him; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of William Sanders
 Barnhill, Jr., and extend sincere condolences to the members of his
 family: to his wife, Kristina Mendez Barnhill, and her daughters,
 Jacqueline, Angelica, Analisa, and Cynthia and her husband, Dan,
 and son, Daniel; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bill
 Barnhill.
