R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned five
decades, Charles and Rachel Recer of Emory celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on April 22, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Recer exchanged the vows of matrimony
in Greenville on that memorable day in 1961, and over the course of
their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted life
partner; and
WHEREAS, The Recers count among their blessings a fine family
that includes two children and their spouses, Brian and Christy
Recer and Tina and Joey Hicks, as well as a grandson, Joseph Hicks,
with whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions of life;
and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past half-century, Charles and
Rachel Recer can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and
know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Charles and Rachel Recer on their
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Recer as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
