No. 167 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, David Roy Bull reached a significant milestone in his life on May 20, 2010, when he graduated from Mountain Vista High School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado; and WHEREAS, The son of Robert and Cherry Bull, Mr. Bull was born in Littleton, Colorado, on July 19, 1992; he attended Platte River Academy Charter School and Mountain Ridge Middle School before enrolling in Mountain Vista High, where he pursued a rigorous course of study that included advanced placement classes in psychology, calculus, statistics, and chemistry; and WHEREAS, This well-rounded young man lettered in lacrosse and wrestling and achieved academic letterman status, which required a grade point average of at least 3.75; in addition, he participated in football and basketball, and he was an officer and letterman in Future Business Leaders of America; and WHEREAS, An engaged member of his community, Mr. Bull took part in a service project that raised $1,600 to benefit a student's parent receiving cancer treatment; he also serves as an usher at St. Mary's Church; and WHEREAS, Mr. Bull balanced his myriad activities with employment as a lifeguard and auto mechanic; moreover, he took two college courses to begin preparing for his studies at the Colorado School of Mines, where he will major in engineering; in all his endeavors, he enjoys the love and support of his parents, his grandparents, Bill and Ann Callegari, and his brothers, Derek and Dylan; and WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure in high school, David Bull demonstrated a steadfast commitment to excellence, and he may indeed look with anticipation and optimism to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby congratulate David Roy Bull on his graduation from Mountain Vista High School and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Bull as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
