H.R. No. 1790
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Carl and Ruth Evans of Fruitvale celebrated their
50th wedding anniversary on April 29, 2011, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Evans exchanged the vows of matrimony
in 1961, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in
each other a loving life partner; and
WHEREAS, The couple count among their blessings a fine family
that includes two daughters, Carla McGlothlin and Shelli Crocker,
and four grandchildren, Ryan, Carley, Evan, and Ember, with whom
they share the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, For half a century, Carl and Ruth Evans have brought
to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a
pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Carl and Ruth Evans on their golden
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Evans as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
