H.R. No. 1934
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may
temper the profound sadness felt by the friends and family of Joe M.
Rodriguez, who passed away on April 3, 2011, at the age of 71; and
WHEREAS, "Dagga" Rodriguez was born on February 19, 1940, to
Ignacio Rodriguez and Jovita G. Munis; the owner of a family
business for many years, he later worked at Walmart in Bellmead
until retiring; and
WHEREAS, A free-spirited individual who touched many lives
with his kindness and generosity, Joe Rodriguez is deeply missed by
all who were privileged to know him; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Joe M. Rodriguez and
extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
brothers, Henry M. Rodriguez and Ignacio M. Rodriguez, Jr., and his
wife, Thomasa; to his longtime beloved friend and companion, Josie
D. Garcia; to his nieces and nephews; and to his other relatives and
friends; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Joe M.
Rodriguez.
