H.R. No. 2097 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, The citizens of Missouri City have greatly benefited from the dedicated leadership of Jerry Wyatt since he was elected to the city council; and WHEREAS, During his tenure in municipal government, Mr. Wyatt has ably guided the city with an eye to the future, and his expertise in a range of community issues has earned him widespread respect; and WHEREAS, Currently serving in Council Position 1, he has contributed to the council as a member of a number of committees, including compensation and benefits, comprehensive plan, consultant selection, economic development plan, and ethics; he has also chaired the budget, drainage and utility, Houston Community College, and sidewalk committees and served a number of terms as mayor pro tem; and WHEREAS, Mr. Wyatt has been a resident of Missouri City for more than three decades; he works at Memorial Hermann Hospital as director of occupational health and safety; and WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts of Jerry Wyatt have helped to make Missouri City a better place in which to live and work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby honor Jerry Wyatt for his committed public service and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Wyatt as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
