H.R. No. 2198
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislature, Katie Rebecca Bennett
has ably served her fellow Texans as an administrative assistant in
the office of State Representative Linda Harper-Brown; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Bennett has managed her
daily responsibilities in an exceptional manner; her
professionalism has helped assure the efficient operation of the
office, and her commitment and hard work have been greatly
appreciated by her colleagues; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Patrick and Janie Pattillo, Ms.
Bennett graduated from Cedar Park High School in 2003 and earned her
bachelor's degree in history from The University of Texas in 2010;
she is descended from early Texas pioneers, her family having lived
in Austin since the 1830s; the wife of Brooks Sky Bennett, whom she
married on November 10, 2007, she lives in Round Rock and is a
member of St. Elias Antiochian Church in Austin; and
WHEREAS, This noteworthy young Texan has performed her duties
as an administrative assistant with skill and dedication, and she
is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby commend Katie Rebecca Bennett for her service as
an administrative assistant in the office of State Representative
Linda Harper-Brown and extend to her warmest best wishes for
continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Bennett as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
