 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, June 12, 2011, marks the 40th wedding anniversary of
 State Representative Paul Workman and his wife, Sherry, and this
 joyous event provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on their
 memorable journey together as husband and wife; and
 WHEREAS, Paul Daniel Workman and the former Sherry Willene
 Cleveland were joined in matrimony in 1971, at a ceremony held at
 Annaville Baptist Church in Corpus Christi; through the years, they
 have been blessed with a treasured family that includes two
 children, Kyle Daniel Workman and Paula Willene Workman White, as
 well as six grandchildren; and
 WHEREAS, Both members of Calallen High School Class of 1969,
 the partners in life worked side by side at Texas A&M University,
 graduating in 1973; Representative Workman joined Workman
 Construction Company, and in 1991 he established Workman Commercial
 Construction Services, now a statewide construction company;
 elected to represent House District 47 in 2010, he is currently
 serving his first term in public office; Mrs. Workman began her long
 career in childhood development as a kindergarten teacher and
 child-care center owner; after moving to Austin, she developed a
 credentialing program for child-care directors in Texas and
 Alabama, and she served as director of the Child Development Branch
 of the YMCA; since 2000, she has served as executive director and
 CEO of the National Association for Child Care Professionals; the
 couple attend Pedernales River Fellowship; and
 WHEREAS, The four decades of marriage that Paul and Sherry
 Workman have shared is eloquent affirmation of the meaning of love
 and commitment, and their enduring union is an inspiration to all
 who know them; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Representative Paul Workman and
 Sherry Workman on the occasion of their 40th anniversary and extend
 to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the Workmans as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
