R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Wen Guerra has greatly benefited the residents of
Stafford through his dedicated leadership on the city council; and
WHEREAS, First elected in May 2002 to serve an unexpired
term, Mr. Guerra has ably guided the city with an eye to the future;
he was named mayor pro tem in 2005, and his expertise in a range of
community issues has earned him widespread respect and admiration
throughout his tenure in municipal government; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Guerra previously served on the city's planning
and zoning commission; demonstrating his deep commitment to
Stafford, he also served on its Home Rule Charter Commission; a
building contractor by profession, he is an esteemed member of the
business community as well; and
WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of
life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts
of Wen Guerra have helped to make Stafford an even better place in
which to live and work; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby honor Wen Guerra for his committed public
service and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Guerra as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
