 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Lee Edward Dildy, a Bastrop County commissioner and
 esteemed local businessman, passed away on May 13, 2011, at the age
 of 61; and
 WHEREAS, A lifelong resident of Elgin, Lee Dildy was born on
 September 20, 1949, to Harold and Betty Dildy; he attended The
 University of Texas and went on to work with his grandfather and
 father at Joe's Toggery, a men's clothing store on Main Street; he
 later established his own business, Dildy's Western Wear; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Dildy was dedicated to serving his community;
 during his 20 years of leadership as a Bastrop County commissioner,
 he served on numerous committees and played an integral role in
 bringing the Capital Area Rural Transportation System to the area
 and served as chair of its board; in addition, he was active in the
 Kiwanis Club and the Greater Elgin Chamber of Commerce, and he
 served as an advisory director for the First National Bank of
 Bastrop; also a valued member of the First Presbyterian Church of
 Elgin, he contributed to the congregation as an elder and Sunday
 school teacher; above all else, he was devoted to his wife of 32
 years, Vivian, and his daughter, Megan; and
 WHEREAS, Lee Dildy's life was rich in the intangibles that
 matter most, and those who were fortunate enough to know him will
 forever remember him with great admiration and affection; now,
 therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Lee Edward Dildy and
 extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
 Vivian Dildy; to his daughter, Megan, and her fiance, Tanner Davis;
 to his mother, Betty Dildy; to his sisters, Diane Dildy and Jo Ellen
 Mayfield; to his niece, Tessa Dildy; to his in-laws, Mildred and
 Rayford Kasch, Vernon Kasch, and Vincent Kasch; and to his other
 relatives and many friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lee Edward
 Dildy.
