 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal
 milestones, and Courtney Corinne Wood is participating in that
 joyful occasion with her graduation from Memorial High School in
 Houston on May 28, 2011; and
 WHEREAS, Although the members of the Class of 2011 will soon
 go their separate ways, the time that they have shared at Memorial
 High has created a lasting bond, and the knowledge and experiences
 that Ms. Wood has gained there will forever enrich her life; and
 WHEREAS, Earning her high school diploma has required hard
 work and dedication, and Ms. Wood can reflect with pride on the
 perseverance she has demonstrated in the pursuit of her goals; a
 member of the honor roll, the National Honor Society, and the
 National Society of Collegiate Scholars, she is also the recipient
 of the ACT Student Achievement Award and the English III AP
 Achievement Award; and
 WHEREAS, In addition, Ms. Wood has been a member of the
 Academy of Finance, the Business Professionals of America, West
 Houston Young Life, and Young Life Campaigners; she played for two
 years on the women's basketball team, and she was a member of the
 spirit club each of her four years; she has also given back to her
 community as a member of Yellowstone Academy, the Memorial Mustang
 Outreach Bunch, and the National Charity League; and
 WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
 outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and
 friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with
 promise; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Courtney Corinne Wood on the
 occasion of her high school graduation and extend to her sincere
 best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Ms. Wood as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
