H.R. No. 2385 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Joshua Santo has ably served his fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State Representative Debbie Riddle; and WHEREAS, Understated yet confident, Mr. Santo has given every visitor to the office his full attention, disarming even those of the unhappy persuasion with his firm handshake and his friendly, welcoming manner; within the office, he has similarly impressed his peers with his rapid mastery of each additional task he has taken on, his sponge-like absorption of new information, and his insatiable appetite for learning; despite holding another full-time job, he often arrived to his shift early and stayed late and consequently managed to perform much more than his share of the workload, making his coworkers marvel at the prospect of just how hard he must work at the job that actually pays him for his contributions; in fact, Mr. Santo's productivity was the subject of much debate within the office as few could understand how he could seamlessly perform his duties so unfettered by the siren call of StumbleUpon.com; and WHEREAS, During his tenure under the dome, Mr. Santo has gained valuable insight into the legislative process and broadened his understanding of the vital issues facing citizens of the state today; along the way, he also learned that tennis shoes do not complete a suit and how to dimple a tie, which, in certain circles, is akin to gaining a lieutenant's stripes; and WHEREAS, Notwithstanding his haphazard approach to hair care and his on-again-off-again relationship with his razor, Mr. Santo has delivered an over-the-top performance this session befitting his status as an advanced student of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and all who have had the pleasure of getting to know this accomplished Hilltopper are certain he will go far in this world and look forward to watching as his promising future unfolds; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby commend Joshua Santo for his exemplary service as a legislative intern in the office of State Representative Debbie Riddle and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Santo as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
