 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Brendin
 Gardiner James has ably served his fellow Texans as an intern in the
 office of State Representative Linda Harper-Brown; and
 WHEREAS, A native of Fort Worth, Brendin James graduated from
 Haltom High School in 2007; he participated in theater and in the
 school band as a percussionist, serving as base line captain his
 senior year; he went on to attend Southwestern University, studying
 political science and economics, and he was elected president of
 the campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity while a freshman; he has
 also served as president and vice president and in many other
 offices in his fraternity; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. James was an intern in the Social Security
 Administration offices in Georgetown in 2010, and he has worked as
 an aide in a research and demographics firm and taken part in an
 apprenticeship program with a political consulting organization; a
 2011 graduate of Southwestern, he plans to pursue a master's degree
 in public service and administration at Texas A&M University; and
 WHEREAS, This dedicated young man has performed his duties as
 a legislative intern with skill and determination, and he is indeed
 deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore,
 be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Brendin Gardiner James for his service
 as an intern in the office of State Representative Linda
 Harper-Brown and extend to him sincere best wishes for success in
 all his future endeavors; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. James as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
