R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The girls' basketball team from Canutillo High
School in El Paso has greatly benefited from the outstanding play of
Nandie Adams during the 2010-2011 season; and
WHEREAS, A senior who plays both guard and forward for the
Eagles, Ms. Adams counts among her season highlights a 24-point
outing in a win over San Elizario High School on January 11; in the
following game against Riverside High School on January 14, she
knocked down 29 points, keying another team victory; in recognition
of those two exceptional performances, she was named Player of the
Week by the El Paso Times; and
WHEREAS, Nandie Adams has earned the respect of her coaches,
her teammates, and the fans of Canutillo High School with her hard
work and commitment to excellence, and those attributes will
continue to serve her well in the years to come; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Nandie Adams on her outstanding
play for the Canutillo High School girls' basketball team during
the 2010-2011 season and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Adams as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
