H.R. No. 254 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Members of Leadership Round Rock are visiting the State Capitol on February 16, 2011, to gain further insight into the workings of state government; and WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Round Rock was established to develop new civic, business, and community leaders; and WHEREAS, The city of Round Rock has been recognized as one of the safest and best places to live and work in the country, and, thanks in part to the efforts of the local chamber of commerce, the area has seen substantial growth in business opportunities; and WHEREAS, Leadership Round Rock helps to educate participants about different levels of government and how they each affect economic development; participants come from a wide variety of backgrounds, but all share an interest in learning more about their elected officials and how to improve their community; and WHEREAS, Endeavoring to build a more informed and involved citizenry, Leadership Round Rock is helping to build a brighter and more promising future for the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the 2011 Class of Leadership Round Rock and extend to its members sincere best wishes for an informative and enjoyable visit to the State Capitol; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
