resolve the differences on House Bill 2694 (continuation and
functions of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality), to
consider and take action on the following matter:
House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(1), is suspended to permit the
committee to change text not in disagreement in proposed Section

 read as follows:
 (1) Each provider of potable water or sewer utility
service shall collect a regulatory assessment from each retail
 customer as follows:

as defined in Section 13.002 [of this code] shall collect from each

percent of the charge for retail water or sewer service.
 (C) A district as defined in Section 49.001 [of
this code] that provides potable water or sewer utility service to
retail customers shall collect from each retail customer a
regulatory assessment equal to one-half of one percent of the

Explanation: This change is necessary to remove a change to
the regulatory assessment collected by certain water supply or
 sewer service corporations.
