 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by
 many of this nation's leaders, and the attainment of this
 significant honor by Jason Andrew Deal also heralds a future bright
 with opportunity and promise; and
 WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has mastered many important
 skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he has earned merit
 badges requiring expertise in such diverse areas as first aid,
 personal fitness, and environmental science, and he has gained
 experience in leadership and teamwork while undertaking his Eagle
 Scout project, which involved building an outdoor reading center at
 Ben Milam Elementary School in Cameron; Mr. Deal designed and
 manufactured four benches that are used by students who wish to
 enjoy reading while in the open air; and
 WHEREAS, A valued member of his troop, Mr. Deal has served his
 peers as a leader, and in so doing, he has exemplified the many
 positive traits for which Boy Scouts are renowned; and
 WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for
 attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Mr. Deal has demonstrated an
 unwavering commitment to the organization and its ideals, and the
 knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the way will indeed
 serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Jason Andrew Deal on achieving the
 rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
 continued success and happiness; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Deal as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
