H.R. No. 2606
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Iva J. Price has distinguished herself through her
dedicated service to the residents of North Texas; and
WHEREAS, Active in the Dallas community, Ms. Price has
generously volunteered her time to benefit Texas House District 111
while also encouraging others to participate in the electoral
process; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Price is a valued member of Good Street Baptist
Church, and she helps to support its credit union; in addition, she
has participated in the North McDaniel Sunday school class, worked
with the sisterhood and wellness ministries, and taught the
Vacation Bible School primary girls class; and
WHEREAS, Retired from the Dallas Independent School
District, she has been a positive influence in many young lives
during her notable 28-year teaching career; she holds a bachelor's
degree from Prairie View A&M University and has pursued
postgraduate studies at North Texas State University; and
WHEREAS, Iva Price has demonstrated a lasting commitment to
making Dallas an even better place in which to live and work, and in
so doing, she has earned the deep respect and appreciation of her
fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby honor Iva J. Price for her contributions to her
community and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Price as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
