R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Carolyn Evanson of Irving commemorated a special
milestone in her life on May 14, 2011, when she celebrated her 80th
birthday; and
WHEREAS, Born in 1931, Mrs. Evanson attended Lipscomb
University in Nashville, Tennessee, where she majored in
journalism; she has shared 54 years of marriage with Phillip
Evanson, a retired Church of Christ preacher; and
WHEREAS, Today, Mrs. Evanson's close-knit family includes
two children, Lynn and Paul, and seven grandchildren; in addition
to spending time with her loved ones, she enjoys reading and
beadwork; and
WHEREAS, Carolyn Evanson is an inspiration to all those who
have the good fortune to know her, and her 80th birthday offers a
welcome opportunity to remind her of the special place she holds in
their hearts; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby honor Carolyn Evanson on the joyous occasion of
her 80th birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mrs. Evanson as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
