 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Joshua Levine
 has ably served his fellow Texans as an intern in the office of
 State Representative Ruth Jones McClendon; and
 WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Levine has drafted
 correspondence, legislative summaries, and remarks for public
 addresses and hearings, and he has also analyzed budget data and
 attended policy briefings; he has performed these duties and others
 with intelligence and dispatch, and his initiative and willingness
 to learn have contributed greatly to the efficient operation of the
 office; and
 WHEREAS, A graduate of Vanderbilt University with a
 bachelor's degree in political science, Mr. Levine is currently
 attending the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of
 Texas at Austin; he has been employed as a writer, researcher, and
 web designer for the Center for Criminal Justice and Professional
 Responsibility at Duke Law School, where he conducted research on
 the legal issues surrounding the practice of illegal sports doping;
 and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Levine has contributed to the work of state
 government while enhancing his knowledge of the legislative process
 and the issues that concern citizens of the Lone Star State, and he
 is indeed deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby commend Joshua Levine for his service as a
 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Ruth Jones
 McClendon and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
 success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Levine as an expression of high regard by the Texas
 House of Representatives.
