R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Honorable Nick Gallegos ably served the people
of Edwards County as county judge for 12 years, and his myriad
contributions continue to resonate in the area today; and
WHEREAS, Judge Gallegos began his tenure in 1999 and shared
his knowledge and expertise in that post for three terms before
leaving office at the end of 2010; in that time, he distinguished
himself through his outstanding work as presiding officer of the
commissioners court and through his astute leadership of county
government operations; and
WHEREAS, The significant accomplishments of Nick Gallegos
helped make Edwards County an even better place in which to live,
and he may take justifiable pride in his exemplary record of
achievement; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby honor Nick Gallegos on his notable public
service and extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and,
be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Gallegos as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
