 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Aggregates and Concrete
 Association are gathering in Austin for their legislative day at
 the State Capitol on February 9, 2011; and
 WHEREAS, The Texas Aggregates and Concrete Association was
 created in 1974 when the Texas Ready Mixed Concrete Association and
 the Texas Aggregates Association were united; and
 WHEREAS, In the years since, TACA has grown to more than 200
 member companies throughout Texas, including 75 percent of the
 state's concrete business owners, 100 percent of the cement
 companies, and 80 percent of the aggregates firms; and
 WHEREAS, Aggregates, concrete, cement, and related
 industries generate billions of dollars in business and employ
 thousands of Texans; as part of its mission, TACA advocates for
 sustainable funding levels for state infrastructure sectors that
 impact its members, thereby helping to promote economic development
 and job creation in the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby welcome the Texas Aggregates and Concrete
 Association to the State Capitol and extend to the visiting
 delegation sincere best wishes for a meaningful and memorable day
 in Austin; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
