R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, John A. Maldonado II marked a significant milestone
in his life on May 21, 2011, with his graduation from The University
of Texas at Austin; and
WHEREAS, A student in the College of Liberal Arts and the
School of Biological Sciences, Mr. Maldonado earned bachelor's
degrees in religious studies and microbiology, as well as an ethics
and leadership certificate; during his tenure at UT, he has been
active in the Liberal Arts Council and the Emerging Scholars
Program; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Maldonado is a 2006 graduate of B. F. Terry High
School in Rosenberg; and
WHEREAS, John Maldonado is a source of great pride to his
family, and he may indeed reflect on his academic career with a
sense of accomplishment as he looks forward to a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate John A. Maldonado II on his
graduation from The University of Texas at Austin and extend to him
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Maldonado as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
