R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal
milestones, and Valeria Mejia of Roberts County participated in
that joyful occasion with her graduation from Miami High School on
May 27, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Earning her diploma has required hard work and
dedication, and Ms. Mejia can reflect with pride on the
perseverance she has demonstrated in the pursuit of her goals; a
varsity cheerleader, she has been a member of the National Honor
Society, president of the FFA, and a horse judge with 4-H; she plans
to continue her education at Oklahoma State University; and
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await this
outstanding young Texan, and it is a pleasure to join her family and
friends in recognizing her as she embarks on a future bright with
promise; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Valeria Mejia on her graduation
from Miami High School and extend to her sincere best wishes for
continued success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Mejia as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
