 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, For more than 50 years, Richardson Republican Women
 has made significant contributions to its North Texas community,
 and on March 3, 2011, members are visiting the State Capitol to
 celebrate Texas Federation of Republican Women Day; and
 WHEREAS, Since its founding in 1958, the club has expanded
 its efforts to promote positive change through its participation in
 many worthy initiatives; and
 WHEREAS, Members of the organization devote their time and
 energy to supporting outreach and literacy programs in the
 Richardson community; the club also offers financial assistance to
 the state's public libraries, helping to ensure that those vital
 facilities remain available to our state's citizens; and
 WHEREAS, Numerous honors and accolades have been received by
 the club and its members, including a certificate of appreciation
 from the Dallas County Council of Republican Women's executive
 committee, a certificate of merit from the Texas Federation of
 Republican Women, and a Participation, Activity, and Teamwork
 Award; and
 WHEREAS, The members of Richardson Republican Women are
 committed to supporting their community, and they may reflect with
 pride on their many contributions; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
 Legislature hereby commend the members of Richardson Republican
 Women for working to make a difference in the lives of their fellow
 Texans and extend to them sincere best wishes for a memorable visit
 to the State Capitol for Texas Federation of Republican Women Day;
 and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Richardson Republican Women as an expression of high
 regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
